Farewell Flash Recovery Area....

First, it's been a long time since I've posted a blog entry. I'm so hot and cold on the blog, it's terrible. I apologize. A few things have happened in my life since my last post.

* I've gone to work for Oracle and I'm having a grand time.
* Presented at RMOUG and Collaborate. Had a great time!
* I've been to Cleveland for a users group meeting. Had a great time!
* I've had some fun flights here and there including up to Ellensburg, Wa.
* We have released our new RMAN book for Oracle Database 11g Release 2.
* I've discovered that the Flash Recovery Area no longer exists in Oracle Database 11g Release 2.

Now, lets you panic with the last one, you should know that it's actually been renamed to the Fast Recovery Area. I don't know why but it has.

Right now I'm playing with Oracle Server pools .... fun fun.
I need to look and see if I finished my VMWare series... if not, I'll update it. I also think I may do a page on adding RAC cluster nodes in 11gR2... we shall see about that.

As Mr. Spock once told Dr. McCoy.... "If he has the time Doctor.... if he has the time."

around 3:08 if your interested....

Like unpleasant troubles can be used owing to flash recovery. It has all required possibilities for solving out almost every bug associated with damaged or deleted flash data.
